My Project

Our students have a strong desire to learn about the world we live in and love working on STEM projects. My science classroom is composed of diverse learners in a high poverty area. My students are very enthusiastic about school and have a thirst for learning. They are curious, funny, caring, loving, and imaginative.

I use many different learning pathways to help them understand the content on a deeper level.

All my students are unique and have many different strengths; however, if given lab coats, goggles and science equipment to further assume the role of a real scientist, I know they will immediately become more engaged in the activities I have set up for them.

The equipment will be used in conjunction with several activities, one in particular is called, "What Is It Like to Analyze a Crime Scene?" This lab activity addresses and provides several different approaches for conducting and analyzing data of a crime scene investigation in the science classroom.
