My Students

Do you remember when you tried a game for the first time and fell in love with it?! You kept thinking about that game over and over and could not get enough of it.........I have had great success with golf at my other schools and I know golf at my new school will be a hit, but we have no equipment.

Our students are really good kids who do not get a lot of exposure to lots of things out of their area.

Getting involved with golf is a great avenue for these students to pursue because there are so many positives that come with playing golf. Our students need the exposure to a great sport like golf, that can teach so many life lessons, along with improving skill and hand-eye coordination.

My Project

I am requesting some simple golf equipment. I am asking for putting holes, putters, and golf balls. We want to be able to gradually get into the game of golf. In order for these students to get an idea of how golf is played, they need an immediate reward for their skill, like making the ball go into the hole. I would like to have different kind of holes for different skill levels. We want every student to have success.

This project is so important because I have had so much success with golf and I feel that practicing golf at my school would get more students involved in sports and include more students that are inclined to not participate or feel left out.

Golf is a great individual game. So much time is devoted to team games, but individual games are just as important to grab the attention of certain students!
