Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I coach girls' softball at a Middle School. We are a Title I school meaning that our students/athletes range from needing food assistance at home to being financially stable. Every year I spend hundreds of dollars on my students and athletes to make sure they have supplies, sports equipment or just giving them a treat for a job well done. Batting tees, helmets, pitching net, softballs, bats, and training gear will benefit my athletes in making sure they have the proper gear to safely participate in practice and games. Last year was my 1st time coaching softball I had a glove, bat, and a bucket of balls. My athletes worked hard and overcame obstacles and we won the County Championships. I would like to build our program and I believe these items will help my athletes to develop and improve their skills. Thank you for all you do.
