My Project

These specific items that I'm requesting will make a difference in my students' learning by making our classroom library/ reading center a more comfortable and relaxing place to read. Promoting the love of reading in my students is my top priority as their teacher.

Encouraging my 5th graders to have the feeling of "WANTING" to pick up a book to read, versus feeling "FORCED" to get a book to read, is the mindset that I've been shifting my class towards.

Making our reading corner more welcoming, more cozy, and more attractive will allow my students to gravitate towards our classroom library and have the urge to read.

My class always gets so excited when it's time for our read alouds. Now, let's get them excited to read on their own!
