This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Think back to a time when you just couldn't put down a good book that you read as a child. Now imagine giving that opportunity to a class full of amazing readers who are excited to get back in the classroom!

My students are eager to explore the world of reading.

I'll be meeting my students once again after a year of digital learning from home. I can't wait to meet my 3rd graders in person after teaching remotely. My students have a desire to learn and love to read. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when we're all back in school together and hopefully show them a library filled with high interest books!

My Project

These books will be used to enhance my classroom library. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. My students talk about these book titles all of the time and the titles are really popular at my school. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

Most of the time, students don't have access to books at home.

These books will also be used as a lending library, in which they can enjoy reading at home as well. This book project would only enrich their love of reading and expand their interest level in the world of books!
