My Students

The students at my school are amazing. I know you probably hear this a lot, but seriously, my students are phenomenal. They attend a K-12 public school for gifted and talents students in the middle of a major city!

Our students are creative, innovative, and full of life, but this is only part of what makes them so phenomenal.

They are eager to learn not only their subjects in school but they also want to know more about the world around them.

My Project

I recently started teaching in an integrated co-teaching 9th grade english class. It is so much fun to be in a classroom where the students are super excited to not only learn but to also explore books. Twice a month our students participate in Drop Everything and Read while they are in class but they spend the semester reading books and preparing books talks to share.

Having new books like The Selection and Shatter Me series along with the Lorien Legacies will help to get some of our reluctant readers excited to pick up a new book!

By donating to this project you will be helping a new generation of readers to find books they will fall in love with!
