Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher, I want to create an environment that is vibrant, colorful and most importantly suitable for the needs of my students. I want to be able to give all my students the best experience possible, but I need your help!

I am an elementary school teacher in a high needs school in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

This is my third year as a teacher and my first year teaching kindergarten. My students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds. My kindergartners are curious, eager and hard working learners. These students not only learn from their teachers, but from each other.

My Project

In the classroom, paper is a high demand. My students use paper daily whether it is for writing, math or art. At my school, we are required to supply our own copy paper for copies. As a teacher I am always using outside material to best help my students, but this requires paper and more paper. Copy paper is used daily and it is of great use when it comes to our everyday learning.

It's important to be able to provide students with materials that enhance their learning in school.

Learning needs to be fun especially for the younger children, and what better way to do that than creating games that help them learn through fun. It is my wish to provide my students with everything that will enhance their learning and by supporting this project you are helping me to provide my students with the supplies that will encourage my students to want to learn.
