My Students

I am a STEM teacher in an elementary school and my students are in grades K-5. My students live throughout the borough of the Bronx and have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our school is part of New York City's District 75, which provides specialized instruction and support for students with significant challenges.

Our students are eager to learn and explore and I look forward to seeing their faces light up when they are introduced to new topics or hands-on activities!

My students succeed best when they are provided with a well managed and structured environment, that’s full of love and support for their individual needs. When provided with a well rounded education including visual, auditory, tactile and technology opportunities, my students will continue to grow and achieve success!

My Project

These materials will be perfect for making centers for my students! The binders, wipe and write folders, and laminating paper will help me to make differentiated learning centers for my students. Laminating helps keep its durability as well as the wipe and write folders. Organization is also key! The binder and clips will help keep the materials easily available and ready to go!

Centers are a great way to engage students in learning at their own pace and level.

Differentiating lessons and specially adapting materials is key to help students with autism thrive in making progress on their individual goals.
