Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have wonderful blossoming scholars eager to learn, yet some do not know how to jump rope, skip, eat healthy snacks, take care of their environment, or know how to be kind and grateful. I hope the materials I requested will help them fully blossom into their greatness.

Over a third of my students do not know how to skip or jump rope or do hula hoops.

The IMAGYM Obstacle Course for Kids, Platform Kid Stilts, Skip Ball Ankle Toy, and Bead Jump Rope, will encourage my students do more physical movement instead of stationary activities such as iPad, tablets, phones, or video games.

Over the years, I have bought over 20 trash grabber to pick up trash around our school, and it has encourage my students and other classrooms not only to pick trash at school, but anywhere they go. Now, I only have one left. That is why I requested the 6 Reacher Grabber Tool, Long 32"

The Accurate Shipping Scale 440-660lbs, will help my 2nd grade students do their science fair in collaboration with the 7th grade class on how much trash is thrown daily in our school, especially in the cafeteria. They will use the scale to measure the trash thrown within 5 or 10 days.

To encourage my students to eat healthy, once a month ,they will be bringing their favorite parts of plants and share it with everyone. These books will be great resources: Fruits (Healthy Eating with MyPlate), ABC Book of Fruits & Vegetables, and Healthy Heather and her magic fruits and vegetables.

As part of our Character Strong curriculum, my class will be creating puppet show on different virtues, the books on this list will be wonderful resources and the puzzles will encourage teamwork.
