My Project

No student wants to learn in a stale environment. I’m working hard to keep our middle school students engaged with a classroom transformation and a fun real-life experience. I want to make every effort to get students excited about learning mathematics. A football theme transformation will instantly pique the students’ interest. The students will be using their problem-solving skills to solve real-life mathematical problems that relate to the real and complex number system, expressions, and equations that align with the football theme. The table clothes with be used to cover the classroom desks and tables the students will be using as workstations. Students will snack on popcorn and can earn reward bracelets when exhibiting our four school character traits: community, leadership, collaboration, and perseverance. A friendly challenge, using the Football Game Toss, will be incorporated as a brain break for teams to earn extra points while having fun.
