My Students

It is always a challenge to get middle school boys to want to read. What could be more interesting to middle school boys than reading books featuring football superstars and the Super Bowl?

Our school is located in a high poverty area in Indiana.

Our students don't always have the money to purchase needed materials. We want to have available books that are interesting to our students in our media center. The books that I am requesting will help students meet their classroom reading goals.

My Project

Literacy is a high priority with our school. Our language arts teachers set classroom reading goals to improve reading literacy. The challenge is finding books that our students want to read and these biographies of football superstars and the Super Bowl will appeal to our male students.

Your donations will provide these popular sports books for our students to read.

It is always a challenge to find titles that the boys want to read, and this project will encourage the boys to read and improve their reading skills.
