My Project

Students will learn the financial literacy aspect of the food truck business. They will brainstorm food truck business ideas, design the graphics for a logo, and plan a menu with pricing. They will view business logos and compare menus from local area food trucks. Students will watch a podcast video interview about starting a food truck business and video about logo design. A food truck template will be printed on cardstock for each student. From their sketches, they will transfer their design to the cardstock. They will ink over pencil lines and add color to their food truck using the markers.

Students will be highly engaged as they are planning, designing, and creating their food trucks and mini signature foods.

The model magic will be used to shape and form miniature signature food from their menu to be attached to the top of their food truck. While shaping and forming their foods, they can add color to the model magic using markers. Students will write statements about their creations. Completed trucks, miniature foods and menus will be displayed in our school media center.
