This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi everyone, this is Qiwen the current leader of the Asian Pacific Movement (AAPI) club at our High School!

In the coming May, which is also the heritage month for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, I have planned weekly field trips with my club members.

My immigrant Asian students would go on a hunting trip, which would be three Asian representative spots to explore Asian cultural roots (Yu & Me Books, the first bookstore managed by an Asian woman + Mahayana Temple + Moca Museum)in Chinatown of New York City where they could explore Asian cultural presentations.

Since it's the amazing cherry blossom season, I would bring them to Roosevelt Island to embrace the spring breeze and enjoy the gorgeous sunset scenery on Roosevelt Island. in New York City.

More field trips and movie nights are planned for not only my AAPI club but also the entire school community, so I wonder if any snack donations would be such a great favor for our high school kiddos to get some food to take a bite during these exciting activities.
