Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I started a food pantry in my school to help our families that are struggling to make ends meet. We have had a few migrant families enroll in the school. There is now a greater need for shelf-stable healthy food and food that can be microwaved.

Some of the migrant families only have microwaves.

The microwaveable food is for families that only have microwaves. The rest of the food, including the cereal and peanut butter, will be used for all families that come to the pantry, regardless of how they cook.
