My Project

My students are amazing and are learning to care for others. We have been talking about ways that students can impart change within their communities and my students see that some of their peers are experiencing food insecurity. They see the staff bringing in food and want to contribute as well. From our discussions, they have stated they would like to create a place where we can have food for anyone that feels hungry.

My project is to request shelf stable food for a school food pantry.

Students have been learning about what food would be good to keep in a pantry that does not go bad quickly. My students will be receiving the packages, sorting the food, organizing the pantry and advertising that the food will be available to all students who would like a meal. Thank you so very much for supporting this project.
