My Project

These snacks will meet multiple needs. 90% of the students in the academy program are bussed into school.

So, they demonstrated great determination when they commit to remaining after school for their Career Technical School Education meetings as well as study sessions in preparation for District and State competitions and Industry Certification exams.

With the school lunch scheduled very early at 10:30 in the morning, students begin to experience hunger pangs by the end of the school day. Students either cannot afford or often do not pre-plan to bring snacks with them to school. Snacks bars are also used as a reward so that when we have mini competitions in class, I am able to recognize top performing students. In addition, when the students place at District competition, I like to provide a care package of snacks they can each have in their hotel room when we attend state competitions in Orlando for three nights.

I have been purchasing these snacks with my own personal funds. This donation will help me to continue to provide some nourishment so that students can focus on studying and I can keep them engaged as they prepare to be successful in competition and on industry exams. Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.
