I need your assistance to help my students escape the barriers of poverty and provide them with the opportunities to be successful in school and life. My students often get hungry throughout their school day. They are provided breakfast and lunch but sometimes struggle with the textures or the types of food offered. My students are able to focus and learn more efficiently when they are not thinking about their growling stomachs. My students eat lunch before noon and are often hungry before the end of the day. Providing them with nutritious snacks allows them to get back to their academics. My students love having choices that interest them to choose from and that they can enjoy! Healthy snacks are an important part of learning and having help to stock our closet with these would be so greatly appreciated!
It is hard for anyone to do their best work when they are hungry.
By providing my students with readily available snacks, I'm ensuring that their bodies and brains are ready for the learning challenges at school.
This snack project will help feed my students for the remaining months of the year. Any left over snacks will be given out to families in need.
