This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At BOSS, guidance counselors meet with so many students and a question that we are all asked is "do you have a snack?" Students depend on these snacks to get through the day. Unfortunately, our snack supply has dwindled and our students leave feeling disappointed and hungry. These snacks are important because they help students focus by curbing hunger and they also help us build relationships.

Our students are capable of great things and these snacks will help them maintain their focus in school.

We are also requesting social emotional materials, which help students regulate emotions and with academic success. Some of these materials include coloring books, which can help students calm down and mindfulness resources to help manage emotions. These snacks and social emotional materials will help our students grow.
