Help me give my students the fuel they need for their brains! My kids always come in asking for snacks and they do much better academically when they aren't worried about being hungry.

My Project
Starting off as a first year teacher has been difficult. Not only is teaching Algebra II difficult, creating relationships with students and creating and environment they look forward to going to is difficult as well. I have found that snacks have helped me create better relationships. Even during class, they will grab a snack and be more engaged in the lesson, since they aren't worried about being hungry. Also, many kids come inbetween periods to grab a snack which results in me getting to build deeper relationships because we have conversations outside of academics.
Math is hard even when you're not hungry.
I want to break that barrier so my students can focus and I can create lasting relationships with them.
