My Students

I teach in an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classroom. My students are a very diverse bunch that walk into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I make sure to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. Every day is an adventure with many hidden treasures to discover. I feel very fortunate to influence their lives, as they do mine.

My Project

With class sizes increasing, it is necessary to think of a storage and organizational system to help all 30+ students to have a place for their work.

Color-coded folders help keep students organized and are extremely helpful in classrooms without individual desk storage.

Since we don't have desks with storage, a file box is provided for each student to store all of their academic work. Each child will be provided with a color-coded folder for each subject to help them stay organized for the school year. The colored folders are especially helpful to the visual learners and make it easier for each student to be more independent and responsible when organizing their work by subject.
