This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year has looked different than previous years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is sixth graders first time in middle school and it is not as exciting as it normally would be. To reduce their time in school, students do not get a recess period or have time built into the day to socialize with their friends. They have a working instructional lunch period. In order to maintain a safe learning environment, students must stay in the same classroom and are seated six feet away from each classmate. We were remote for about three months and since February we have gone back to in-person learning, which we have been very grateful for. However, sitting in the same seat all day is very tiring. In one of my classes, I have 8 students with Individual Education Plans. They were diagnosed with having ADHD and other health impairments.

My students need these fidget toys/educational tools to help them relieve stress and anxiety.

By relieving stress and anxiety, they would be able to focus more on the lesson.

My Project

Help my students focus more in the classroom!

All the resources I requested are different types of fidget toys, stretch balls, and breathing balls that students may need throughout the school day to relieve stress and anxiety.

After relieving stress and anxiety, they would be able to focus on the lesson.

I have already bought many of these fidget toys/focusing educational tools and I have noticed a huge change in my students' attention. I need more of these fidget tools so every student has a chance to use them in my classroom.
