My Project

You know the saying, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach"? Well, it is similar for 5th graders. The way to a 5th grader's brain is through their stomach! My students tend to be hungry all the time. Having some easily accessible snacks would help their mental state throughout their day and keep them better able to focus on the task at hand. I also want to treat them to some fun neck warmers to help keep them cozy this winter. Families coming from warmer climates are not used to the winters here. While not outrageously cold here, it does get below freezing!

Since our school is a Title 1 school, many families have limited resources.

Some of our families are even refugees from other countries or hurricane ravaged areas. Some children are in foster care. Imagine the comfort it could bring them by not having an empty stomach on top of the stress in other areas of their life. I know they would love to have these snacks and appreciate any donation made to this project. Let's keep stomachs full and brains ready for learning! Thank you!
