My Project

My Students:

My 9th-grade students come from diverse educational backgrounds (over 47 different middle schools), each with unique learning styles and needs.

In our classroom, we embrace different ways of engaging with content, whether it’s through reading, writing, listening, or discussing. Many of my students benefit from audio support, whether they are English language learners, students with learning differences, or those who focus better with auditory reinforcement.

Our charter school is a dynamic, multicultural environment where students are determined to succeed. However, access to quality learning tools like headphones can be a challenge for many.

My Project:

I am requesting a class set of high-quality headphones to support my students as they engage with digital learning materials. These headphones will allow students to listen to audiobooks, follow along with text-to-speech programs, watch educational videos, and use language-learning apps—all without distractions from surrounding noise.

This project will be beneficial for:

- English Language Learners who need audio reinforcement to improve comprehension.

- Students with Learning Differences who benefit from text-to-speech programs to aid their reading and writing.

- All Students who engage in multimedia lessons, independent research, and quiet study sessions.
