My Students

Our school may be small, but it is mighty! Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.

This project will reach 30 learning support students within the 7th and 8th grades at RAMS.

Being a school that has experienced budget cuts, my special needs classroom is running low on supplies. There is no longer room in our school budget to replenish the supplies. Our students deserve to have the supplies they need in order to complete their work.

My Project

I currently work with students that experience attention and learning problems within the classroom. Each of my students has an IEP that requires extra modifications and adaptations to their classroom environment in order for them to be more successful.

By providing students with kickbands and dry erase desks, we will be able to increase our focus and, in turn, increase our work completion.

The kickbands on the chairs will be able to allow students to fidget their feet while still remaining in their seats. By adding the white board vinyl to the tables, students will be able to work through math problems, copy notes, and brainstorm ideas for essays. I am excited to be able to leave students positive notes, too!
