I am an elementary school social worker in a great neighborhood with the most loving, kind, and enthusiastic students. These students make coming to work rewarding and fun, each and every day! They share a love for learning and a unique curiosity about the world ahead of them.
Each student brings their own story with a distinct personality and desire for learning.
Whether they are good at art, math, physical education, reading, science or something else - our students want to grow in their own special way. Our school really embraces the model of the school family in learning and contributing in a helpful way to those around us.
My Project
The Ninja book series requested will support students in understanding what is going on in their brains and bodies and how to identify, understand, and overcome their struggles. These books will help by targeting a group of students who often do not connect to other books geared toward teaching them about their brains and bodies.
The diverse books and seating options will support students who are underserved and don't always have resources dedicated to them.
The stools will support our students who struggle with wiggles in the classroom and need additional tools to help them focus while learning.
