Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
1. a-Fidget tools and noise-canceling headphones will provide calming sensory input, helping students who struggle with attention to stay focused during lessons without feeling overwhelmed.
b- Desk organizers and labels will keep their workspaces clutter-free, reducing distractions and fostering a sense of independence in managing their materials.
c-The auto-fill ink for the printer ensures that we always have the necessary resources ready without frequent interruptions for refills. It’s a cost-effective solution that helps keep our classroom running smoothly, allowing students to access printed materials, worksheets, and visual aids at any time. With this system, we spend less time worrying about ink and more time focusing on learning.
2. Promote independence: I want to help students build the skills they need to organize their own materials and manage their tasks, boosting their confidence in and out of the classroom.
Improve focus and engagement: By providing sensory-friendly tools and visual supports, I aim to reduce distractions and improve their ability to focus on learning activities.
Support executive functioning skills: Through planners, timers, and visual schedules, students will develop essential skills like planning, time management, and organization, which are key for long-term success.
Create a calm, supportive learning environment: With tools like noise-canceling headphones and privacy partitions, students will have a safe and distraction-free space where they can thrive.
3. They bring diverse learning styles: Each student has different strengths and needs, and they require creative solutions to help them reach their full potential.
They are resilient and determined: Many of my students face challenges that others might not, yet they approach each day with determination and a desire to succeed, even when things are difficult.
They are highly creative: My students often think outside the box, and their creativity shines when given the right tools and environment to express themselves.
