My Students

Do you remember how proud you were when you first learned how to write, cut out a project, or tie your own shoes? For my kids, these tasks can seem incredibly difficult. Occupational Therapy helps them build the foundations they need to master these skills in order for them to succeed in school.

I provide support to students with disabilities to perform their best in their academic environments, meaning anything from the classroom to the cafeteria or recess!

Many of my students have Autism, learning disabilities, or other developmental delays that make learning in a typical classroom difficult. Our school has both integrated NEST program classrooms as well as gifted and talented classrooms and general education classrooms.

My Project

Please help fund this multipurpose furniture for my therapy room! This year I have moved into a larger room and am working to create a welcoming space in which my students can work towards reaching their goals.

This Foamnasium Blocksy Couch can be used in so many ways during occupational therapy sessions!

As a comfy piece of furniture, it can act as a cozy place to practice mindfulness or as a safe space decompress when a child is having a hard day. It can also be turned into a gross motor play set which can be used during obstacle coursed for sensory integration and gross motor strengthening during sessions!
