Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help my students learn the alphabet, letter sounds, learn about gravity with technology and a comfortable space.

Technology has come a long way, it seems that every aspect of life is now impacted by various technological devices.

The Cricut Maker Machine and bundle that I am requesting is a perfect example of how technology can help my students learn. The machine is used to electronically cut an amazingly huge variety of die cuts, letters and numbers in different fonts.

I will use the machine to cut letters in different color paper, different sizes as well as both upper and lower case letters. I will then use the letters to place around the room. My kids will become detectives, their mission will be to find the letter of the day around the room. Each day will have a different letter assigned. My students will be able to identify the letter and sound when they find the assigned letters.

I will also be able to cut letters that my students can use to sound out and make words.

The machine will help my students master beginning reading skills.

The machine will also help us decorate kites. Last spring I bought kites for my students to start understanding all about gravity and how it's needed for aviation. This year I would love for the my students to learn about gravity and aviation by making and decorating their own kites. The Cricut machine will help make a huge variety of design for kite decoration.

The rug that I am requesting will serve as a spot where my students can come together in one spot to focus on the letter of the day lesson. The rug will give them a comfortable seat so that they can focus on the lesson.
