My Students

Learning Spanish and Culture Through Books

My students need authentic Spanish reading books to help our classroom library grow.

We also need classroom furniture to create a learning environment that invites students to feel excited and enjoy a new language.

My Students

Imagine walking into a classroom and seeing students listening attentively to what their teacher is saying in a language they have only been expose to in school. Our School's mission is creating Global Citizens of the world by focusing in Bilingual Spanish Education with a 50/50 English/Spanish model.

As a teacher in a low-income school/high poverty school, my students face many challenges both outside and inside the classroom.

Since I control the experience of my students during the school day, I feel that I need to keep consistency and provide creative, positive, and meaningful learning experiences. In order for them to become successful

My Kindergartner's are kind, curious, loving, happy, and always ready to learn Spanish.

My Project

Buenos dias, como estas ? is what you hear when you enter this classroom in South West Philadelphia. Students who have never been exposed to Spanish suddenly immersing themselves to a new language and culture.

My Project

My students will find a cozy place where to enjoy reading and learn Spanish through books and stories, the language will be learnt in a natural way.

Books and stories are a fun way to introduce a new language, our students pick up the Spanish language quickly through images.

Reading books and stories is not only a way to improve vocabulary and knowledge, it is also the way to develop their imagination, a mental stimulation and stress reduction.

Creating a spot where students can enjoy and relax with a book is beneficial in many different ways, a way to fly to other places and open their minds.
