Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of these supplies are basic supplies for the beginning of the year in our communal caddies. Scissors, glue, pencils, and markers are all going to be included in the caddy so that students have all the supplies they need at the beginning of the day.

Since I am changing grade levels, I need a new carpet and want to get three-drawer storage containers, since our classes will be compartmentalized; doing this will make it easier for students to keep their specific materials organized as they transition to the room throughout the day.

A walking desk will allow me to support students and bring materials with me around the room. I often use maps and anchor chart paper to support with my instruction so I want to gett enough for the school year now. Sentence strips will be used with our word wall, to point out new vocabulary.
