My Project

As a self contained teacher my classroom is a combination of students with disabilities from autism, emotional needs, and speech and language. These amazing students are constantly moving and need to find ways to get their jitters out. Giving my students a choice of where and how to sit creates an inviting learning environment.

When students are comfortable they become more calm, focused, and productive in the classroom.

It is important to me to create a space where students can feel empowered by being able to choose where and how they work best.

I want to give my students a variety of flexible seating options for example: the standing desk will be used for students to freely choose a space in the classroom where they can work best while standing! The stools are light and is portable, students will be able to move them from one station to another station, during our classroom rotations with out any problems.
