My Project

My students are coming from the pandemic years of school. No opportunities to actually be in the classroom and not separated from their peers. My students need to learn how to interact more with their peers and make choices for themselves.

The flexible wobble chairs allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.

During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.

The art supplies will help supplement our curriculum to make learning more fun and engaging as we engage in different experiments. The dye will be used for a state of matter project using ice and the dye to show the solid ice melting and turning into a colorful liquid! Also, by experimenting with the canvases and crayons, our students will experience the melted crayons to see how solids turn into liquids when heat is applied.

My students are highly motivated by scented stickers too. I’ll use the stickers as a reward.
