My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and with choices. During independent work times students choose a location in the classroom that works for them to complete their work. Making the learning environment comfortable and fun helps get kids motivated to work at their full potential. Flexible seating allows for more collaboration with one another and therefore results in higher engagement and student growth. I plan to eliminate all desks in my new classroom and would love to have new choices for them with floor cushions, soft foam seats, bean bag chairs, and scoop rockers. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
