My Students

This year I will be teaching a group of very diverse 1st and 2nd graders. In order to learn best, we are looking to transform our classroom into a engaging and inspiring environment with flexible seating. We all learn differently, it’s time our environment reflects our unique qualities.

My Project

My class is filled with a diverse group of learners. We are a small 12:1:1 class that include children on the Autism spectrum and with a variety of learning challenges. We are hoping to transform our classroom to fit the sensory and learning needs of each student, rather than trying to force the students to conform to typical learning styles. My goal is to make learning equitable and accessible to my students. Seating options will give them the opportunity to show off their best selves. When the needs of the individual student is met, the potential is endless!!
