This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a low socioeconomic area and we are in need of furniture for flexible classroom seating! Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment.

Some seating options are stools, armchairs, ottomans, & kids chairs!

My students are going to succeed better with their learning by having these flexible seating options. They are going to have choice in where they want to sit and learn the best!

My Project

My students come to school everyday full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do, too! They need more flexible/comfortable seating options to enhance student engagement and learning. Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable.

Flexible seating allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom.

Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. Also, students learn better when they have a chance to work together, whereas traditional desks in rows isolate students from each other.

This project will help my students stay engaged all throughout the day! My students thank you in advance!
