Help me give my students flexible seating to stay focused in preparing themselves for on the job training and striving towards success to become job ready.
My students have different levels of learning challenges that at times may impede their learning environment and themselves from reaching academic success. Flexible seating will help aide in giving them appropriate movement breaks such as swiveling side to side or rolling back and forth. It will support them in their academic needs by keeping them focused on their academics for longer periods of time.
Also, my students will be afforded different opportunities of using flexible seating to help them feel comfortable in their learning environment, becoming better with communicating their needs or wants, taking responsibility of their learning and increasing student engagement.
Flexible seating is a positive reinforcement that will help my students have a positive and growth mindset in helping them get ready for their school day and make learning fundamental. Students will be able to have different flexible seating to complete work tasks during different station rotations such as but not limited to the classroom mini library that the bench seating with cushions will help students feel comfortable to practice their reading skills or the yoga ball seating to help with movement breaks and help minimize instructional redirections back to work. Students will be able to apply their general learners outcome (GLO) such as but not limited to self-directed learner, effective communicator and critical thinker.
