My Students

I have 23 energetic third graders in my Spanish Immersion classroom. These 23 kiddos are on their way to becoming bilingual and biliterate and have a great passion for learning. I would like the opportunity to offer them flexible seating options that will make them more comfortable while they are learning! A comfortable learning environment will lead to more student engagement, which means more success!

I love the autonomy students bring with them to the classroom.

Giving them choice, allows for independence to flourish. Students are more actively engaged when given ample opportunities to choose where they sit.

My Project

Flexible seating options will promote an environment where students can take charge of their own learning and make the choices that work best for them. Making sure students have choices is an essential component in motivating them in the learning process and making them autonomous individuals.

The tables and chairs I have chosen, will add on to a few things that I have already obtained.

The tables will make it easier for students to complete STEM related activities and have group discussions. This allows them to socialize in a way that is more directed. The balance ball chairs will allow students some movement without having yoga balls rolling away from them. My third graders need an outlet to get some of their extra wiggles out and these seats will provide it for them.
