Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After teaching for 22 years, I have noticed that some students are really struggling to stay seated or calm in the traditional seating of a classroom. This year, I decided that I wanted to give my students a choice for a different set up to help them become more successful. I teach art and although most students love coming into the classroom, it can be stressful for others. This new flexible seating can give them some space to build that self-confidence and provide a less stressful experience for them.

The sensory seating can also give them a way to wiggle when they need to and not bother the students next to them.

The tables will give them a way to work on their art projects in this flexible seating situation.
