Not all students learn best by sitting at a desk all day. Many students, especially neurodivergent students, need other seating options to best meet their learning needs. Lots of my students prefer to stand and work with a clipboard instead of sitting. Many other students prefer sitting on the floor.
I want my classroom to be a welcoming, safe space for all students to learn and grow- this is why I want to provide flexible seating options.
Options such as a standing desk, floor seats, and a beanbag chair will help give my students choice and provide them the safe, comfortable learning environment that they need.
