My Students

Our students come to school eager to learn with their mind and heart open for everything their teachers have to offer.

School is a very important part of our students' lives.

We teach at a Title I school with over 70% of our students receiving a free or reduced-price lunch and all of our students get free breakfast in the mornings. We have a backpack program that sends home food with kids over the weekend and offers free lunch for students over the summer break.

My Project

My students come to school full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do too! My kindergarten students need more flexible and comfortable seating options to enhance student engagement and learning.

Sitting on a wobble stool allows movement without distraction.

These ergonomic stools are designed with a convex base, so students can move around while they are sitting down. This movement provides both physical and mental benefits to the students.

This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day. I want them to feel comfortable and at home in our classroom. I cannot wait to see all of the things we can do with flexible seating!
