My Project

Flexible seating options on the rug would provide my students with the opportunity to choose the best learning environment for themselves, fostering a sense of ownership and comfort in the classroom. This choice can improve focus, engagement, and collaboration, as students often work better when they feel at ease. Allowing them to sit on the rug encourages a more relaxed and inviting space for group discussions, reading, or independent work.

For example, students could use the lap desks on the rug during reading time, allowing them to comfortably sit and write or take notes while surrounded by their peers.

During group activities, students can use the lap desks to spread out their materials and collaborate without being confined to traditional desks. The lap desks are also perfect for independent work, providing students with a personal space to focus on assignments or projects while still being part of the larger classroom environment.

To maintain cleanliness and ensure a healthy environment, we can use Clorox wipes to regularly disinfect the trays, making it a safe, hygienic option for all students.

This balance between flexibility and cleanliness helps promote both physical and mental well-being in a dynamic learning space.
