Our school works hard to ensure that students enter their doors with welcoming arms, and leave with knowledge of their strengths, worth, and potential. One of the most valuable things about my classroom is its diversity of learners. I serve students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. This school year will start differently than most, but I can't wait to meet my new 8th grade students.
My Project
Next school year, it is more important than ever for students to feel comfortable and safe at school. For many students, it has been over a year since they have set foot in a school building. With that in mind, I am transforming my classroom to be student centered with flexible seating throughout the room. This project will fund a reading and conference corner that promotes student engagement.
I want students to wake up and be excited to come to school!
