My Students

My students are the funniest, most energetic and excited group of children I have ever met. They are extremely curious and eager to learn. We are constantly searching for new content to add to our classroom library. They have lots of interests including the Titanic, Community Workers, and Animals.

This is my second year teaching and my students have taught me more than I can ever teach them.

They are extremely loving and show that same love to the content we learn in the classroom. I would love to flexible seating options to our classroom in order for my kindergarteners to feel more comfortable in their new classroom.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. This school year is going to be exceptionally difficult, especially in a Kindergarten classroom where students are first learning classroom procedures and routines. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Providing students with flexible seating options will help students feel more comfortable in the classroom while maintaining social distancing and CDC guidelines. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. When students are given options, amazing differences can be seen.
