My Project

Flexible seating has completely transformed my classroom this year. Students choose a new seating option every week that helps them learn best. It has eliminated all behavior issues and helps students focus while expressing their "wiggles" during instructional time. The number of students struggling with ADHD and sensory issues has drastically increased over the years, and it is extremely hard for these students to sit still in a hard chair for hours of learning.

These stools are some options I can provide now.

Through this project, I will be able to provide more seating options like these stools so my students can feel comfortable to focus better, have the power of choice, and fulfill their sensory needs. There is no doubt that children and education have changed so much over the years, and we need to be equipped to change with them and support their needs to provide a high-quality education.
