My Project

Flexible seating is just one of the many ways that I give my students choice in the classroom. By choosing an active chair that helps them focus, they are taking ownership of their own learning. During independent work time and centers, my students have the option of moving around the room and finding a space that is suitable to their learning style. Some students like a traditional desk and chair, while others enjoy kick bands, wobble cushions and of course wobble stools.

When students are presented with choice, they are more engaged, motivated and happier with their learning environment.
