Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have created a family at our school where we trust, support, and love each other. The students know that their teachers and administration believe in them! Each morning, the principal reads the daily announcements on the loudspeaker and begins every time with, "Good Morning and welcome! You are at the best school in New York City, you have the best teachers, and you are the best students!" We truly believe this at our school!

Our school is a Title I school in the Bronx, New York where 98% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and try their best every day! They all aspire to greatness, they just need help supplying the tools for success.

My Project

Some students do not succeed sitting in traditional desks and chairs. Children learn best when they are in an environment that is comfortable and inspiring. I want every student to feel independent, motivated, and happy!

Flexible seating allows students to take ownership in their learning, recognize their individual needs, and monitor their behaviors to support a balanced and thriving classroom community.

I have found a variety of seating options that will allow students to make smart choices throughout the day, while supporting the wide range of physical and emotional needs.

My hope is that my students will come to school every day excited and eager to learn in this unique learning environment. I know these tools will drive student learning and enhance instruction.
