My Project

I offer flexible seating in my classroom, as I recognize that children require different options to be successful. I have some tall chairs that the kids love, but they don't rotate and are hard for my first graders to climb in and out of. The screws are breaking and are no longer safe for them to use.

Flexible seating is considered beneficial in classrooms because it allows students to choose seating options that best suit their learning style and comfort level, which can lead to increased engagement, focus, and collaboration by providing a more personalized learning environment, accommodating diverse needs, and encouraging movement when necessary.

I want to be able to continue to offer this flexible seating choice, as I've seen how successful it has been in my classroom. My kids have thrived with the ability to choose the seating that best serves their needs.
