My Project

I am a second grade teacher within a school serving students from low-income households. This group of fantastic second graders are ambitious and I want to help them in any way that I can!

More than half of my students are English Language Learners who are eager to learn every single day.

Within this group of students, there are different areas of need. In order to help them, flexible seating is a need. They thrive in small groups and with one-to-one instruction. They sit in different parts of the rooms and sitting on the tile floor is uncomfortable for them.

I want to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all of my students. These different types of flexible seating will not only help my English Language Learners, but will help all students in my classroom with various needs.

Aside from small group instruction, students in the back of the classroom enjoy coming to the front during mini-lessons and group work. This flexible seating will allow them to focus more on the lesson rather than ways for them to sit comfortably.

I would be able to use these seats for various activities and group work within my classroom and help my students reach their greatest potential!
