Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my second time using Donors Choose, and I am so excited to provide more opportunities for my students. I teach around 50 fourth graders at a rural Title I school in West Texas. My students are always full of energy and love to move around the classroom when possible!

My Project

Implementing flexible seating will encourage students to be cooperative and help them engage in classroom activities. Flexible seating is also beneficial in helping energetic students focus on the task at hand. In addition, the lap desks will allow students to move around the room as needed and still provide a stable workspace.

Flexible seating in my classroom would also provide a fun way to engage my intervention/small groups!

The wobble stools will provide seating for my intervention table to allow each student to have plenty of space to work.

Flexible seating in my classroom will encourage cooperative learning, positive communication, and accountability.
