My Students

"My Beautiful People", as I like to call them, recently came back to learn on campus after 18 months of online learning.

They are very active, playful, and high-energy.

They are always looking for ways to connect with their peers and be part of a community.

My Project

Providing my high school students with flexible seating will create a more positive environment where students can feel in control of their learning experience.

Giving students the comfort and choice to seat in a rocker chair, a saucer chair, or an ergonomic office chair will maximize their engagement and focus during class.

Alternative seating can play a crucial role in students who have special needs as it can lower their affective filters. For example, using a rocker chair can help students stay connected with the class while getting the wiggles out. Using flexible seating is a great way to help teenagers channel their high energy while learning.
